Less is More

Lucie Lebas is a self-proclaimed Parisian slasher (blogger, coach, stylist...) and advocates elegant minimalism in all her daily activities.

Ultra dynamic, Lucie Lebas has a diary that makes you dizzy, and an ability to launch herself with the same enthusiasm into each new project. The young woman has long since chosen to be a free electron, and through her many activities claims the same aspiration to greater minimalism and irreproachable ethics, 2 essential pillars for her.

Meet a minimalist slasher who always rhymes less possession with more elegance! Lucie empties her bag from her flat in the heart of Paris.

Who are you?

Lucie Lebas, I am 27 years old. I am an ethical image consultant and personal development coach. Through makeovers, I work with my clients on their appearance, their communication... In short, their way of presenting themselves to the world.

I would like to stress that I do not work for any brand, I am not paid by percentage of sales. This is a real choice on my part, which allows me 1/ to keep the choice of brands for each of my clients, and to ensure the transparency of the brands I recommend and 2/ not to push my clients to buy. Indeed, the idea is not to overconsume. The aim of the makeover is above all to reveal the person they are. Most of their outfits are already there, in their dressing room. Then, the perfect minimalist tailor-made wardrobe is achieved.

Minimalism for me came in 2017, with a move, which involved me parting with a lot of stuff. At that time I read Marie Kondo's book, and saw the Netflix documentary " Minimalism ", both of which resonated with me enormously. Very quickly, in October, I opened my blog Lucie Lebas. Coaching made sense very quickly: for me, stripping down and personal development go hand in hand.

Which bag(s) do you use on a daily basis?

This is a Gérard Darel bag that I bought second hand. I love it. I think it goes with every outfit and I really like its patina. I can wear it both as a crossbody when I'm scooting around and as a shoulder bag in the evening.

What do you take with you?

  • My H&M compact wallet, given to me by my mum a few years ago. It has the perfect amount of space.

  • Mon porte-clés Les Clés Chardon, qui me simplifie énormément la vie

  • My Randolph sunglasses, made in USA in their Regis Dajczmanleather case

  • My bullet journal, which I never get rid of, even if I have a google calendar next to it. I prepare my week, my month, I take the time to draw, I even do automatic writing. In short, I am the stereotype of the Parisian woman who writes on the terrace with her café au lait :) . I use German notebooks(leuchttrum ), the best for me, with a good refillable biros.

  • I also always have a book, at the moment I'm reading " La femme à part " by Viviane Gornick. I tend to read in cafés.

  • Finally I have my green Longchamp clutch found on vinted, in which I always have a pack of tissues, my Merci Handy for the hands, a lip balm, and one or two lipsticks. Lipstick is the ultimate minimalist thing. Whatever your outfit, just put on a little lipstick, let your hair down and you'll be fine!

  • I also have a nail file (nails are very important to me), my headphones and my travel pass in a pocket of the bag.

An anecdote (a (mis)adventure with your bag ...)?

I bought this bag from a friend of mine one evening while having a drink with her. She wanted to sell it, so I jumped at the chance!

What do you take with you on holiday?

I keep my Darel. I don't take my notebook for fear of getting it dirty, but I add another pocket with an extra battery because I'm going to take a lot of pictures with my phone. I also have my Revolut credit card, so handy when you're abroad!

Do Parisian women have a specific relationship with their bags?

The bag is the Parisian woman's best friend. It's an essential accessory, like shoes. You can put all your equipment for the day in it. I even put my water bottle in it!

Like Marie Kondo, I empty it every night and every night I say thank you (except when my friends are here, so as not to scare them too much ;) )

Your self-portrait (a drawing, a photo, a mantra... that looks like you)

I can think of several: a note from my mum, which I always keep in my wallet,

My family roots are very important to me: as Orelsan says, :

Deep down I think the earth is round
For one good reason only
After you've been around the world
All you want is to be home

Otherwise I also have a mantra about inner and outer wealth that I repeat to myself every morning;
