Like Mary Poppins' bag, Le Journée has a magical capacity! Revolutionary, its capacity adapts according to its content: Le Journée spreads or folds its wings according to your needs.
Le Journée is a large tote bag when its wings are folded. Its capacity then allows it to hold a laptop vertically and files.
When its wings are unfolded, the Journée takes the form of a tote bag: it is then possible to adjust the capacity of the bag to its contents by pulling on the straps on both sides of the bag.
- Inside the bag made of cotton canvas, colour cream
- The bag has a cotton canvas pouch (12 x 22 cm) with a Riri zip.
- The pouch is connected to the bag by a leather strap (55 cm) and a golden snap ring. The pouch can thus be detached from the bag and carried on the shoulder strap.
- The bag is closed with a golden snap hook

At the origin of the Day ...
Because we rarely go home once we've left in the morning and because our days are often long, our bag is the indispensable ally in our daily lives. Computer, files, sports equipment, children's toys, shopping, we often need to have everything within reach, even though we live several days in one. How can we carry all this stuff around without getting bogged down with 1001 containers?
This led to the creation of the Day and its patenting as a variable capacity bag. With a simple gesture, the bag expands from 80 cm when the wings are folded to 114 cm when the wings are unfolded. Thanks to the straps and their sliders, all intermediate positions are possible!
A revolutionary capacity
Like Mary Poppins' bag, the Day has a magical capacity! Revolutionary, its variable capacity according to its content is the subject of a patent. The Journée unfolds or folds its wings according to your needs. In the morning, it takes the form of a tote bag into which you can slip your computers and files. At the end of the day, it unfolds its wings to hold a few groceries or even your sports gear. Going out again? Pull on the straps, the day adapts immediately to its contents, and you just have to slip it over your shoulder.
A graphic and robust bag
With its leather and canvas inserts and wings that fold into the sides, the Journée has a very graphic look. Rigid, but not too much so; unfolded or folded, it holds in place and can be put down without collapsing. Two versions exist, depending on whether you want the sides of your bag to be completely or partially covered in leather.
The Art of Detail
The elegance of Chardon Paris objects can be seen in the smallest details: the contrasting dyeing of the edges, handmade for greater precision, the precision of the seams, the carabiner ring engraved with the brand name that links the pouch to the bag. With a simple gesture, the pouch can be detached from the bag and transformed into a clutch bag for shoulder carrying. The light pouch keeps your precious belongings (phone, credit card, ID card, ...) while the bag can stay in the cloakroom of an exhibition: you can enjoy the moment, with a free mind!

Origin and quality
The Day is a Chardon Paris object, designed and conceived in Paris and manufactured in a French workshop specialising in luxury leather goods.
The leather comes from a French tannery. The cotton canvas (water-repellent treatment) comes from Italy. The edges are hand-dyed. The gold logo is heat embossed on the back. Riri zip. Carabiner ring signed Kitten Paris.
Maintenance tips
Leather is a living material, it softens and develops a patina over time. Cleansing milk may be sufficient to clean your object. Use an impregnated cloth and clean the leather without rubbing it. Proceed with circular movements, without insisting too much. If it comes into contact with water, wipe it off immediately. Shine with a soft, lint-free cloth.
